I asked Jennifer to "tag" me for this 5 question meme. She came up with some great interview questions for me to answer. The game continues when you ask to be interviewed. You know you wanna!


1. What is a good thing happening in your life right now? What makes it good?

Just one? Hum... That I am going back to school. I'm sure everyone is sick of hearing that, but I have NEVER been the 'studious' type. High school was where I checked in to find out where the next party was. I am doing much better this time around, actually applying myself. Oh... and I am enjoying it. Some days. Today I did. Tomorrow I'm skipping.

What makes it good? Hopefully I am learning something and will get a good job, just in case the 'Blog for a Year' deal doesn't work out. (DID you vote today?)

2. Do you have any odd food likes or dislikes? (For example you like something no one else does or you hate something everyone else likes.)

I love the oysters in a can. The ones on the top shelf, packed in oil, a lot of oil. I love them on cheap, stale store brand saltines, found on the bottom shelf, put you back maybe a buck. Stinks the whole kitchen up. Even the dog doesn't want any, and he eats poop. Totally gives me diarrhea to. Just can't resist sometimes, and have to surrender myself.

3. What was your worst date ever? Was it a blind date?

Good one! I had just started a new high school. Didn't know a soul, when a really cute guy kept giving me 'the smile' and 'the look' in the hallways. Do you remember that? About a week later he passed me a note in the hallway. Ah! The official form of communication between teenagers in the rockin' 80's! In the note, he told me his name was Ron and that he thought I was 'cute' -I was. He asked if I would like to go out that weekend. Of course, I wrote a note back the next class. Being all cool (I was) my note just told him my name and my phone number. He called that night, I knew he would, and asked if I would like to go to a movie that weekend. I said sure, and he told me he would pick me up in his 'vette. I was on cloud nine! Yeah- he showed up in a 'vette', a chevette! He was a total dork and thought he was funny, but he wasn't! Good thing he had looks on his side. My father thought it was the most hilarious thing ever! I was all bragging to him that I had a date with a guy with a 'vette and he showed up in that piece of shit!

4. What is your biggest weakness? How do you overcome this?

Deep thinking question... I would have to say giving in to my boys. I give in to David (13) a lot to avoid the tantrums and attitude. Yes, I said tantrums. Overcome it??? Overcome it??? Liquor. Lots and lots of liquor. And prescription narcotics.

5. What is the best compliment you ever received?

I had a classmate last semester tell me she loved my personality and she wishes she could be as self confident as me. Left me speechless. The difference between us? She's 21. I'm... uh... not 21. It took me many year to 'accept' myself. I just wish I had this self acceptance and confidence 10 years ago when I had that smoking body. I would have owned the world!
